A 44 year-old woman had been received a subsegmentectomy for a small hepatocellular carcinoma, measuring 2cm in diameter, in segment Vff of the liver. One and half years later, her serum alphafetoprotein level was elevated to 150ng /ml, and a small hepatocellular carcinoma, measuring 0.7cm in diameter, was found in segment W by ultrasonography and hepatic angiography., She was received another subsegmentectomy, and has been well for more than 6 years after the second operation.
